How Year One is used

Once it is set up, Year One runs on a simple rhythm. You do not work through it front to back.

Start at the dashboard. It shows what needs attention, what is live, and where the practice stands. It is the page to open first.

Through the week, work in Projects, Pipeline and Actions. Clear what is overdue, keep opportunities moving, and keep live projects and their next milestones current.

Go to a stage when you need guidance. Plan, Find Work, Price & Win, Operate and Maintain hold the guides, templates and checklists. Open the stage that matches the problem in front of you - the resources are there when they are useful, not a library to complete.

Open the hosted tools when a decision needs modelling. Runway, savings buffer, rates, a project fee, cash flow, the cost of a hire, or whether an enquiry is worth your time. Record the figures worth keeping in Practice Numbers.

Run the Weekly Review once a week. Decide the one thing that matters most next week and put the actions behind it in Actions.

Then return to the dashboard. That is the whole loop.
